      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Epic Games in Aug 2020

      Interview

Starts with a response to resumes and portfolios that catch the eye of the recruiting department. After you have passed this part of the screening you will be hit with an email asking you to reply with your availability for an interview in the next week. This part of the process can result in you having to fill out availability for multiple weeks ahead do to covid and the team having to interview many others before you depending on where you fall in Que. After that you will recieve and Email informing you that you have an interview scheduled for a certain date and time and you do your best to prepare for it. On interview day confidence is key. You want to know about said companies products and be an active participant in those games. Not playing a game and Not knowing much about it can hurt you in the process ( not always). Try to speak clearly and be detailed in your responses to help showcase your passion and knowledge of said field.

      Application

I interviewed at Epic Games (London, England)

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted within a few days by a recruiter. The first stage was a short phone call where we discussed my general experience with games, my familiarity with Epic’s titles, and any previous QA or testing work I’d done. The next stage was a video interview with a QA lead and another team member. They asked about bug reporting practices, how I’d prioritize issues, and how I approach testing both from a user and technical perspective. They also gave me a short hypothetical scenario where I had to describe how I’d test a new in-game feature and report a bug. The process was straightforward and took about two weeks from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and clear about expectations. Although I didn’t get the offer, it was a positive experience overall.
