I recently had an interview experience with Eurafric Information, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. It began with a call from an HR representative who scheduled a technical interview for the very next day, leaving me with no time to adequately prepare. During the interview, I was surprised to find the entire team present, including developers, a scrum master, HRs, and even the director. Each team member took turns asking questions, which was a bit overwhelming but manageable.
However, things took a turn when they asked if I was comfortable working with an in-house technology. I expressed my preference for technologies I had experience with, but after a lengthy debate, I reluctantly agreed to work with their in-house tech, as it seemed important to them. Additionally, I found it inappropriate when the HR asked about my current salary and the salary I was seeking in front of everyone, which felt intimidating.
After the interview, I was asked to complete a coding game, which included topics like C#, Jenkins/Nexus, Java, Git, Spring Framework, and SQL. I completed the game successfully and was optimistic about the outcome. However, three weeks later, the HR asked for my pay stub to verify my current salary, which I promptly provided. Surprisingly, despite knowing my salary expectations from our initial conversation, I was informed that I was not selected for the job because my salary expectations were too high.
Overall, my experience with Eurafric Information left me disappointed. The rushed interview process, the insistence on working with unfamiliar technologies, and the handling of salary discussions were all red flags for me. I hope this feedback can help improve the interview experience for future candidates.
