I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Evertz Microsystems (Burlington, ON)
Interview
I reached out to a recruiter and they directed me to the hiring manager, my interview was scheduled for 3 hours (technical and behavioural both) but ended in just an hour, with the team lead testing my technical skills, basic python syntax, digging deep into exception cases, automation pipelines, CI/CD. If you're confidant in python and know automation pipelines with cloud, you will be good, you don't need to be a pro.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Evertz Microsystems in Apr 2022
Interview
Met with manager for online interview where he asked some general questions about background, related work and about me. I then got 5-10min to speak with each person I would be working with on the team I was applying for. Lastly, there was a FPGA/ embedded software related question.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you design a ring buffer? How would inserts, removals and fullness checks work?
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Evertz Microsystems (Bengaluru) in Aug 2024
Interview
Evertz interviews typically involve an initial HR screening, followed by technical rounds focusing on coding, system design, and broadcast technology knowledge. Behavioral interviews assess problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability. Expect in-depth technical questions and discussions on past projects, especially for roles in software or hardware development.
