      Interview

What is this company like? Let me tell you my experience: Over a month ago, a recruiter Thomas Cox contacted me about ExchangeRight looking for talented people to join the firm for multiple roles. He sold the place well for me and got me excited to join such a firm. Little did I know about the nightmare that I was about to embark. After 3 different long interviews and 5 different personality tests I received an offer at the beginning of December. Of course, the offers are always pending a background check but I had no idea this firm hires a private investigator who is going to descent your complete past. After a couple of weeks after the offer was signed, I didn't hear from the recruiter except to tell me that the private investigator was taking a long time but to rest assured that there is no problem, and that management will be signing off on my offer in short order. Well, after they pushed me around FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH about some hits on my record over stuff that I explained to them that had nothing to do with me, the same recruiter called me to tell me that the offer had been rescinded without providing much explanation. They did this after 1. I had already resigned from my job, 2. I had turned down another offer. 3. It was only about a week and a half before I was about to start. This situation was devastating to me. This firm left me in a very challenging personal and financial hole. At this point, I'm looking at legal options I can take against the recruiter and the firm because what they did was extremely unethical, and I question the legality. Be very careful with this firm, if they did this to me at this point, I can't imagine what it would be like to actually work there.
