5 rounds in total apart from the chat with recruiters. the first round was with the manager 1-hour technical chat about my background and the teams under him and the tech stack. The second round was 1-hour coding, where I was asked to share my screen and code in IDE. I aced the 3 leet code medium algorithms he asked me to code. The third round was again 1-hour coding by sharing screen. In this round, there was this eastern European guy with a very strong accent. He seemed very angry and frustrated he even yelled when I asked him to explain the question a bit because I could not understand his accent. Anyways, I just failed to understand what he was asking for and ended up solving the algorithm as per my understanding of the question which wasn't what he was asking for. I tried inquiring multiple times what were the exact requirements. The fourth round was with the manager again, where he asked me questions on locks, deadlocks, java libs, garbage collectors, thread dumbs, eclipse plugins for finding out memory leaks and etc. This was very in depth round about what they do on day to day basis, which seems to be creating their own threads and running into deadlocks. 5th round was with the director. Overall, it was a very unprofessional and bad interview experience.

Question 1
A bunch of recursion questions from leetcode, Java deadlocks, locks, reactive programming, threads, memory and etc.
I interviewed at Extreme Networks (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
One round of hiring manager/ coding interview. Was asked to do an in person onsite interview. There were 5 rounds of system design, leetcode problem and strong focus on design principles. The interview was overall ok.
The interviewers were kind and fair.
The recruiter called me the day after to talk numbers and got spooked out when I asked about RSUs (!!!) . Kept rescheduling the calls after that and totally ghosted me after that. Highly unprofessional, especially since I attended an in person interview.
Interview rounds were held at 4 stages.
I chose C++ as programming language.
1. Networking
2. Coding
3. Discussion
4. HR
Networking round includes dns, tcp connection establishment, UDP, arp
The overall interview process is smooth. The interviewers are on time which is important to me. We start with clarifying the question. After I delivered an intuitive solution, he followed up for better solutions. Hence, I delivered 3 different kinds of solutions.
