I recently went through a three-round interview process with Ezyschooling. I successfully cleared the assessment round and an interview with their content writer. For the final round, I was asked to travel all the way from Kota, Rajasthan to their office in Delhi, despite requesting a virtual interview. Hoping for a fair and professional process, I invested my time, money and effort and attended the final round in person.
The interview went well, and we mutually agreed to have a final discussion regarding the offer and salary package within two days. We mutually decided that we would have a discussion on salary 2 days later, as my expected salary was too much for them, but as I need a job, I decided to work with the salary package they are offering. However, to my surprise, when I followed up, I was informed that they had already hired another candidate the day before, without even informing me or closing the loop professionally.
This experience was extremely disappointing and reflects a lack of respect for a candidate’s time and resources. Transparency and communication are the least one expects during a hiring process, especially after traveling long distances. I hope the company re-evaluates how they handle candidates in the future to avoid such unprofessional conduct.
