      Assistant Manager Interview

      8 Jul 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Orlando, FL
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at FX Promotions (Orlando, FL) in Jun 2017

      Interview

The interview process began with a phone screening where i spoke with one of the assistants and we went over the basics of my resume and a brief overview of the position. THen the next part after i scheduled the to meet with the manager, i came in sat down with an manager from human resources and got more details about the salary, hours, and more in depth description about the position. The final interview was more of a meet and greet/shadow day where I shadowed a few of my future co-workers and got to see what the day to day looked like for the job. Which was mostly meeting with direct manager and handling clients and going over invoices.

      Assistant Manager Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate

      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      Interview

I applied online and a couple of hours later I get a call about setting up a job interview and a brief description of the job duties. They work with a windshield replacing company and the job was basically assisting the manager in making sure that the technicians go to the right places at the right time, filling out paperwork, things like that. I arrived early so I checked online for interview reviews while in the parking lot., and they were right. This is basically a scam to turn you into a door-to-door salesman offering to replace the windshields of people's cars for free. Since I was already there I decided to go through with the interview. They called you in and explain to you that in order to become an assistant manager you have to spend 6-9 months training as a direct marketing specialist, which is just a fancy way of saying door-to-door salesman. They scheduled me for a follow-up interview the next day to discuss the salary and other details. I went to the second interview to see if the salary was worth the hassle and at the end I respectfully told them that the job offered wasn't the one I applied to and was described on the phone and that I wasn't really interested in being a door-to-door salesman.
