The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FanDuel (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Feb 2024
Interview
Pathetic. The HR interview was merely for formality's sake, and they didn't give it much thought. Next was the manager round. In my case, the interviewer had around 4-5 years of overall IT experience, and I wondered how they became a manager. They started asking behavioral questions. I thought I gave honest and STAR-formatted answers, but after a couple of days, I received that beautiful four-lettered email: UNFORTUNATELY. Since then, I have applied multiple times, but they immediately reject my application even after the cooling period. I wonder how HR works. I think they should really think about their management competency.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They think they are Amazon and ask those kinds of behavioral questions in the manager round. How do you resolve conflict? How did you deal with such a situation? Basically, you need to become a storyteller and tell them a fictional story in which you are the hero who saves the day.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FanDuel in Jan 2025
Interview
Fairly easy with great communication. The process took about 2 weeks from initial conversation with recruiter to interview with hiring manager. Another candidate was selected to move forward with but offered to stay connected for future roles.

Question 1
What would the first thing you do once your hands are on the code?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FanDuel (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
Applied via their website. Got a video interview with a hiring manager. I answered some basic interview questions. The decline to go forward even though I have all the experience and skills mentioned in the job posting. They seem to have criteria that goes well beyond what is covered by the job description.
I have spent a lot of time researching the company and they are obviously shopping for employees, having the same position up for months.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FanDuel in Jun 2024
Interview
First step was a recruiter screening with typical resume questions and past experience with team's tech. Next round was technical questions with engineers (e.g. what are the 12 principles of OOP, how do you handle code reviews, etc.). Final round was 3 interviews consisting of a coding challenge (handling concurrency & refactoring object to be more generic), system design (design article website like medium.com), and a behavioral interview with the hiring manager.
