I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Federato in Jan 2024
Interview
A recruiter contacted me about an exciting AI based startup opportunity with Federato. The recruiter first told me the questions for a quick taped interview with the recruiter. I then spent 30 minutes writing out the answers and then got back on with the recruiter and recorded the interview. I passed that and then then had an 30 minute interview with the VP of Engineering.
Again the recruiter told me all the questions I would be asked in the interview. I passed that. Then I had a 15 minute coding screen which again I was told exactly what I would be asked during the coding screen. A ToDo react FE app. Despite having it all written out and creating the app without issues I failed that. I'm guessing since people already know the question they are preparing really advanced React ToDo Apps so make sure you come up with a really good one before the interview.
It seems pointless to even have an interview process if the candidates are given the questions ahead of time. You're just going to end up with whatever candidates spend the most time preparing for the interviews.

Interview
They ghosted me after the interview. So rude! I sent an email asking about an update. No response. I didn't even apply for this job. Their external recruiter reached out to me. I also sensed some nepotism during the interview. Interviewer was fake friendly.
