Initial telephone screening with HR, then meeting HR, then meeting various hiring managers to decide best team and finally with the CEO. All very smooth process - just a case of repeating your experience to various Directors/ hiring managers.

      Consultant Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Finatal (London, England) in Jun 2022

      Interview

After submitting my application online I received a call from HR within 30 minutes where I was asked what I thought the job duties entailed and then a mock interview with HR was set up (as this was for a graduate entry-level position). I had a video call eith HR the next day where I was told about basic job interview etiquette and which questions to prepare for. When speaking about my motivations for the job I was told by HR that I should say that I was money-oriented and that I wanted to network with top-level Finance professionals. A first in-person meeting was set up with a Director, who asked things like 'What do you think is most important for this job, listening to the candidate or persuading them of an opportunity?' and 'How would you sell me this pen?'. Throughout consecutive days I was asked to meet another Director, a Head of a Department, a current entry-level employee, and as a final stage, another Director. I also had to complete an online personality indexing test. After the final stage I was told that I wouldn't receive an offer as they were looking for a 'bigger personality' who was more competitive, aggressive and salesy.
