First Contact Entertainment interview questions

Skipped the HR interview and went straight into an interview with the hiring manager and another producer. The interviewee wasn't aware that I had skipped the HR interview and was surprised to hear that this was my first contact with the company. The interview went well but there seemed to be a disconnect between the hiring manger and HR representative.
