Bait and switch RUN! I got approached by a headhunter, I work at a major wirehouse with over 8 years of experience. They wanted me to switch cities and then offered me a role that had nothing to do with financial services. Cut down my salary significantly. I had a bad feeling from the beginning. Interviewed with sales leaders that were in their early 30s and they all mentioned significant staring salary and compensation range for their salespeople. They do HR interview, employment application first, then background check. Finally a panel interview for 3 hours.

Rejected w/in 24 hrs despite my previously being an equities analyst w/global firm in NYC. AGEISM is real. They want young, malleable, cheap candidates or those w/large books of business. They are NOT interested in MATURE CANDIDATES w/EXPERIENCE. Ken, just like the young gals?
