Arrived at downtown location with a homeless person laying on their front step.
Met with HR in morning, then with Founder and one of his investment partners the same afternoon.
After our two hour interview, founder expressed desire to hire me and have me connect on phone with other key stakeholders the following week. Had positive meetings with his team. Offer details were reviewed with me in detail and we negotiated subsequent inclusions. I was invited to annual shareholders meeting the following weekend to meet the team which I attended. References also lined up and informed. Then out of the blue the offer was revoked and not formalized and communicated to me by voicemail only, due to fact that they had failed to include their new President, who was starting later in summer, in the decision making. And he had a different direction for the role. The entire experience was incredibly unprofessional and the founder did not even have the decency to have a conversation with me, but rather HR just left me a voicemail. I have never encountered such an unprofessional experience in all of my 20+ career in packaged goods.
