Forever Resorts interview questions

Spoke with hotel and maintenance managers about the job requirements, hours, times and duties. Spoke about past jobs and skills aquired through them, then took a tour of the facility with the maintenance manager. A very casual and pleasant interview. After, went home and received a call apprx. 2weeks later if I wanted to accept the job.

Applied online, had a phone interview. I thought it went fine, although the HR person seemed like she was trying to talk me out of wanting to work for them. At the end of the interview I was told they were moving on to the reference check. That was it, never heard back from them. I contacted my 3 references to see if they heard from them, and discovered they did not call any of my references, which is odd. Why say you would check them if you were not going to do so.
