      Analyst Interview

      10 Nov 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fortitude Systems (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2017

      Interview

Super informational introduction call, very nice and personable employees. The recruiter I spoke with was very focused on ensuring a low maintenance conversation and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. They seem really interested in growing the company.

      Interview

Contacted via messenger on LinkedIn by a recruiter. Had 3 virtual interviews then flew out for a super day of sorts. A full 8 hour day of endless interviews, and never heard back. Totally ghosted with no explanation after I wasted over a month in the process.

      Interview

The WEIRDEST experience of my life. The first screening interviews were normal and then they wanted to fly me out to do an in person interview - this whole time i was under the impression this was a tech consulting company (not a staffing firm). Anyway listen: I show up to the IV and they tell us to bring our suitcase (despite spending another night at the hotel). Then, I show up and there are about 8 other candidates interviewing - all student athletes. Now, you mingle with a few of the employees in the office & it is just a bunch of MEN all reliving the glory days of their college athletics. Going around and the first questions being "what sport did you play." Then, they separate us into these small rooms (reminded me of interrogation rooms) and they just pound you with questions, then another person comes in and asks you the same questions. This happens with like four people. Meanwhile, as the interview is going on, you start to see some of the other interviewees get cut from the process - they literally are being shown the door and have to bring their suitcase and LEAVE! I was one of three people left by the end, where we got to hang out in the call room which was just a huge call center. Then, they took the three of us out to happy hour where people were getting to DRUNK & one of the executives was slurring his words & pulled us three aside to quiz us on things about the company. Such a wild experience, I was there for like 10 hours & just had to leave. It's one of my favorite stories to tell folk due to how crazy it was. Others that went to my college who also interviewed at different times had the same experience too which I think is so funny.

      Interview

Strangest interview process of my life. First round was over the phone, second round over Skype, both very standard with a friendly recruiter. Final round they flew me out to DC, put my up in a nice hotel the night before. In the morning, along with 7 other men, we are shuttled to the office and start a full day of interviews. All behavioral and informational, in very casual settings. Throughout the day, they kept mentioning that there may be an event at the end of the day "if enough senior management were available to attend". Quite abruptly however, they started pulling people out of the office two at a time, and sending them to a different hotel, saying the event was cancelled. However, I went to school with another guy interviewing, and what really happened is they sent half of the people home, and proceeded to have the event with the other half who would be getting offered the job. On top of that, we were told not to schedule flights home that night due to the "event" and instead, they assigned us to share a hotel room with another person interviewing, AKA a complete stranger. Locker room culture and a fraternity behavior interview process, complete with a pyramid scheme stock option structure based on recruiting and not on performance.
