      Frontend Engineer Interview

      4 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at Frameplay (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Culture fit interview with some technical questions, followed by a take-home assignment. The take-home assignment was uncharacteristically hard in relation to the job description and experience required (as compared to the tasks listed + other tasks I had to do for comparable jobs). I managed to complete it, but it took me more time than it should have.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions about CSS (different ways to center an item, queries, etc), questions about React (hooks, when to use useMemo), take-home task with a transpiler tree traversal problem
