I had a pre-screen call with their internal recruiter. He said that if I didn't hear from him for me to feel free to reach out to him.
...Uhm, isn't it your job to follow up with candidates? Apparently not.
Not surprising, I heard nothing from and per his invitation, I followed up. He apologized, said the hiring person was in meetings and that he'd get back to me the following week. One week later and you guessed it - nothing. So I followed up again. Same exact apology, same exact reply, and again he said he'd get back to me. I sent yet another email expressing a little frustration and disappointment with their process and once again, he apologized and said they still had not made a decision about the next steps.
Finally, ONE MONTH after the initial pre-screen call I was told that they had decided not to move forward with me because I 'didn't have enough marketing event experience.' Seriously? That could have and should have been screened out on the initial call!! Why drag this out for a month? Then he said if there was any other role I was interested in to please apply. Uhm, no. Absolutely not. No way. Never. I would never work for nor would I ever hire this company.
As a company selling itself as an experiential agency, they sure don't provide a great experience to potential employees. In fact, they provide an absolutely terrible experience. Despite their claims, they certainly don't put people first. A candidate should never be treated with such disrespect.
