Interview
The recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. We have the first call just to sync the expectations of the position. They provide you a Spring Boot project with the exercise. You have time to take a look at it before the coding activity. The coding exercise is basically a 1h exercise where you will share the screen and do a pair programming session with the interviewer. This was really nice because you have the opportunity to share your knowledge and learn from the interviewers. Then you have a behavior interview with the EM. The last one is an informal meeting with your team.

Interview
I was given a challenge with very minimal requirements. This assignment didn't actually include important aspects like docs, testing and more. So I was skeptical if they wanted me to add them on my own and so I did.
In the end they didn't accept my solution because I didn't utilize the EXACT tools they were using... tools that were never mentioned in the pdf file I received!
That being said, I feel like I was fooled since I made a complete solution for them that they can totally reuse now and got turned down for no apparent reason.

Interview
I was interviewed online via google meet. First introductory interview was done and discussed about experience and about the company in general.
Later they sent a coding task which I had to to improve the code and enhance with new features such as security, authentication, unit testing etc. I spent sometime and completed the all the tasks including certain tasks they had mentioned to do voluntary.
After I submitted the assignment, they respond back
appreciating the my time and effort and with some unreasonable reasons about the job which I did. They were simply adding some reasons and rejected my application.
It was very unprofessional that they didn't even allow me to have technical interview and simply rejected after completion of big assignment.
As I understood that they had already decided not to proceed as they might have already found a another candidate or some other reasons.
Such action from employers made candidate's moral down and give high disappointment.
