      I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Fresh Clinics in Apr 2025

      I went through phone screens, several interviews, a final phone interview, and then a long trail of emails and texts. Every time I spoke with the recruiter, they expressed interest and made it a point to ask if I was interviewing elsewhere. Six weeks into the process, the communication just stopped. Like so many others, I assumed I’d been ghosted. Then, three weeks later, I got a rejection email. Late at night. The entire process was disappointing. Especially for a company that emphasized “choosing the right person” and “culture” so heavily. Unfortunately, the way they handled the interview process didn’t reflect those values at all. If things were taking longer than expected, that’s completely understandable. But communicate. I invested my time, energy, and hope into this with nothing in return. Applicants deserve communication. Do the right thing by people, especially when your business is built around helping others start and grow their own. The job interview system is broken. Don’t contribute to that. Be better. You missed out on a creative, hardworking individual who understands the business you help clients run, and genuinely enjoys helping people solve problems. But that’s okay. I wish the company well. It’s clear you were looking for qualifications that went beyond what was listed in the job description.

      They forgot to call me for my phone interview, I had to reach out to them and they rescheduled to a different time, then took 2 weeks to get back to me and when they finally did they told me I didn’t progress to the next stage (which was a higher level position), then told me that if I ever apply in the future I would only be considered for a slightly senior position to what I am doing now. I would have preferred that they just told me I wasn’t successful, why would you tell me that I am suitable for something lower than what I am looking for? You came up with that in the 15mins of conversation we had over the phone? So unprofessional and unnecessary. I wouldn’t ever consider applying here again. We are in the same industry and it will be awkward to see them at events when I finally succeed in a high level role elsewhere and they will send their bdm’s to tie up a business relationship with me. Do better and treat people with respect.

      Hey there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m really sorry it didn’t reflect the care and respect we aim to show every candidate. We’ve looked into what happened and can see there were clear missteps in how the process was managed on our side, from the missed interview to how feedback was communicated. That’s not aligned with the standard we set for ourselves or the experience we want to create for anyone engaging with Fresh. At the time, our Talent team was going through some internal changes, which unfortunately contributed to gaps in communication and coordination. It’s not an excuse, but it is something we’ve since addressed, including clearer candidate ownership, stronger internal handovers, and new team structures to lift the bar on how we show up for candidates. We know that feedback, especially when it’s about role fit needs to be delivered with care and context.
