After 2 interviews, spending time on the requested, detailed 30-60-90, time spent researching the product and determining enhancement suggestions (per request), room for improvement and providing “my best ideas,” (again per request) I received a mass email saying the position was not going to be filled at this time, couldn't even bother to use my name, a full week after I was promised an update. I was told in the second interview I was a shoe in for the final and 3rd interview yet to come. After all the time spent by myself, and likely other applicants, a company with a dedicated “Director of Talent Acquisition” should certainly be able to manage the common courtesy of a phone call to the candidates that put so much time into the process. And the email said if the position opened back up we may find it on the website “to be considered for the position, reapply,” can’t bother to keep applicants on file or let us know when it reopens?? I really believe the manner in which this was handled was extremely unprofessional. I have received more consideration from places I did not even interview with, let alone a company that requested all that it did from me. It almost appears as though applicants were just used as a user group that they didn't have to compensate.
