The interview process started positively, and I was invited to schedule a phone screen with a recruiter. Unfortunately, the recruiter did not call at the scheduled time, and I did not receive any communication explaining the absence or requesting to reschedule. I followed up via email but did not receive a response.
I understand that scheduling conflicts and unexpected issues can happen. However, I would have appreciated a brief communication acknowledging the missed interview and providing an update on next steps.
Based on my experience, the lack of follow-up reflected poorly on the candidate experience, which was disappointing given my initial interest in the company and role.
