I applied online. I interviewed at GardaWorld (Mississauga, ON) in Sept 2018
Interview
I applied online months back - received an email which was an invite only invitation to a multi-level assessment which consisted of a 3 part process. 1) OBJECT RECOGNITION TEST(80% to pass) - you receive a 30-40 minute lecture on what it is that you will be doing for the test. The instructor shows you what items you will be looking for. study them hard and pay attention and you wont fail. (oh, and sit in the front couple rows if possible) The test consists of 20 slides and each slide is available to look at for 20 seconds each and you will distinguish whether or not there is a KNIFE, GUN, GRENADE, or NOTHING. After the first test they will mark it an call the names of the people who passed and they will be asked to remain seated. Anyone who's name is not called did not pass and will be asked to leave. (you can reapply in 6 months).
Moving on to part 2) PRE-REQUISITION TEST(70% to pass) - 100 questions (60 minute time limit) multiple choice APTITUDE test. basic math, English, grammar, logic, and patterns.
Once you've completed that test you'll be asked to sit in a seating area while hey mark they exams. For those who do not pass, you'll be called individually to be told. For those of you who do pass, you'll also be called individually for a quick pre-interview(1 minute) - they ask basic questions about citizenship and availability. You will then be sent over to another person who does about a 10 minute or so interview with more in depth questions. You will then fill out some paperwork and hand over your references, resume and I.D's an dthey will give you a Medical Exam form in which they tell you to hold onto while they take the next 2 weeks to do reference checks and they will contact you via email to tell you when to go do the medical. From there, I believe if everything goes well you will be called for a REAL in-depth interview with a higher manager. (I JUST COMPLETLED THIS YESTERDAY SO IM NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT THE PROCESS IS AFTER YOU'VE GIVEN YOUR REFERNCES ETC.. IM HOPING TO GET A CALL BACK IN THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS FOR A 'REAL' INTERVIEW)
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at GardaWorld
Interview
Quite easy. Questions on customer service and about yourself. Undergo just one interview. And had to do a part down. Nothing difficult. You are being shown first then you do it
Fast, efficient. Write 2 exams once your application is accepted then an interview and after that was called and offered the job. The whole process was pretty easy, though the day of the exams and interview it was pretty long.
Interview was quite easy, there were mostly general questions asking about myself and my availability. There were some situational based questions like what would you do if you encounter an angry passenger, what would you do if someone refuses to get his/her luggage scanned.
