I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Genesco Sports Enterprises
Interview
Straight forward. No "fluff" interview questions like What is your greatest weakness etc. Prepare to talk about your experience in the relevant work field. Went through multiple rounds speaking to various current employees. Learned about the company and history just as much as they learned about me.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Genesco Sports Enterprises (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Interviewing with this company was by far the most disorganized and unprofessional process I’ve ever experienced.
The first round by phone the interviewer was late and looking at the wrong resume. The second round by phone, the interviewer was rude and asking questions that were geared towards an entry level role, not a Director. It seemed as if they had never been trained to interview someone before. he also told me that I was causing him to be late for his work trip.
The third round was a visit to the Chicago office where I met with four different people. Only two of which were prepared to sit down with me.
I never met with HR which, truth be told I don’t think HR exists.
I received great feedback. I had an internal referral. But I never received a response.
I spent two months interviewing and communicating and then nothing.
I realize I’m far better off, but I hope they get it together for the sake of future candidates.
