I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Genius Phone Repair (New York, NY) in Aug 2013
Interview
After applying online for a new store opening, I received a call and set up a time to come in and interview. The store was still being renovated, so we had a casual meeting in the guest waiting area. Most of the questions were focused on me as a dedicated and well rounded employee, and they explained that they could teach any tech-minded person how to perform repairs even with little experience. After an hour or so, the interview was over, and a week later I was called and offered a job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Genius Phone Repair (Grandville, MI) in Sept 2014
Interview
I got in through a friend. However it's easiest to apply online because it is sent straight to HR who is in control of interviews. But they usually have the HR rep and the District manager and possibly one of the owners interview you. Lately it's just HR and a manager.
Depending on what position you're applying for and location, the manager of the store and district manager will interview you. So it's not just a one on one, it's nice having more than one person.
Back when I was interviewed, I was interviewed by one of the owners and by a district manager. My interview was very different then what it is now.
