      Software Engineer Interview

      28 Nov 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Cleveland, OH
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GenomOncology (Cleveland, OH) in Apr 2020

      Interview

1.1 Phone screen with recruiter who works part time for the company. 1.2 Weird online aptitude test through Berke Assessment (no code, felt like a little like a standardized test). 1.3 If all is okay the recruiter will ask for a salary requirement from you which I felt is a little odd this early on. It's certainly okay to ask questions about the position and what the salary range is, do not feel pressured to give a lower number unless you are ready to counter offer in step 5. 2. Call with Product VP 3. Call with CTO 4. Two hour call with three pairs of people (~45 minutes each). 5. Offer for position with the salary you declared in step 1.3. Questions in steps 2-4 are rather ordinary but also are not incredibly technical. In step 4 be prepared to introduce yourself multiple times as the pairs of people have only just seen your resume.
