I applied in-person. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Gerrards Cross Bookshop (Gerrards Cross, England) in Jun 2012
Interview
This was a matter of perseverance - I physically went into the shop numerous times asking for work, until after some months I was called in for interview as a position was available.
There is a very laid-back, friendly atmosphere in the shop which put me at ease when interviewed. I was asked many generic questions about my interests, my relationship with literature, which genres I am passionate about, what I have been studying for English literature, etc.
