It all felt a bit robotic and inhuman. I had a 1 hour call with the "sales director for Europe" during which I was asked 3 questions that could have been generated by ChatGPT. He then proceeded to reply to Slack messages whilst looking bored at my answers. I have, both before and after, had more than a couple of interviews at other companies where I've been told I am at least an engaging candidate to speak with.
When I asked him some questions about the growth plans for the business and what the leading indicators of success looked like he gave me some very stock answers without really trying to engage me at all.
All of this was most disappointing given I was a recommendation into the company and had spoken with several members of the team to prepare. Gong's technology is fantastic, they'll be a success regardless of who is in this role...I just feel like maybe it'll be in spite of their sales leadership perhaps
