It was rather straightforward. I sent my resume and portfolio, and then went in for an in-person interview. I was given a tour of the office, introduced to other current employees, and then offered a position by the end of the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my career goals, and where I would like to see myself in 5 years.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Goody Clancy (Boston, MA) in Jul 2012
Interview
Applied Online - took a month to get an interview. It was hard to tell if it went well or not. The operations manager is very poker faced. I was able to get an offer sooner than usual because I already had a job offer.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Goody Clancy (Boston, MA) in Oct 2012
Interview
The first interview was with the Director of Operations only. It was fairly brief and conversational. To be honest, because there were no tough questions, I left thinking that they were really not interested in me.
The second interview was about 3 weeks later, and was entirely informational; again, no questions. I'd been scheduled to speak with the manager I was to work with, but he was too busy. I met with a different manager who told me a bit about the firm and his work style. It would have been better if I'd been able to speak with my manager-to-be, as it turned out that our expectations of each other and my position were not quite aligned, and the first few months there were a bit rough.
