very long and repetitive interview process on casing that is unnecessary. They requested In-person case interviews but another round of case interview with the same 2 interviewers - what's the point if the interviewee is not in the same city?
Didn't feel like they have good vibe in the office, You can find lots of questions in glassdoor they asked - same questions.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Gotham Consulting Partners in Jan 2021
Interview
Applied through the campus processes (MBA). Received an invite to an hour-long interview with another Associate at the firm. Consisted of mostly understanding motivations to join and more about Gotham itself and expectations for the role. Finished up with a fairly quick case. About a week later invited to have three-hour-long interviews back to back with two more Associates and a Senior Executive. Each interview consisted of a concept test (case or other) that were relevant to the type of work Gotham does. There were again questions about why Gotham and expectations. I had a positive experience with Gotham and think very highly of the firm. They also seem to have quite a strong reputation in the PE world. What I appreciated most was their honesty in the expectations of the role. PE is demanding in nature and they were transparent on what was expected. In summary, enjoyed all of the people I spoke with and appreciate their candid responses on how to be successful. If you're looking to break into PE, or prefer consulting, and willing to put in the hours Gotham is your place.

The people who were conducting my interviews looked like they were giving me subtle hints to not join this company. When I was interviewing, it seems they had pulled an all nighter the previous night and seemed totally destroyed. One of them actually dozed off while interviewing me. I got my hint right there!
