I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Grainger (San Antonio, TX) in Jun 2018
Interview
Sat down with two Inside sales managers, and they asked me about my resume and job history and an overall view of my experience. Then we went over 5 scenarios from the S.T.A.R. format and a few other basic questions. Then they let me ask them questions about the position. Overall, a great interview that wasn't nerve wrecking and the managers made it very comfortable to speak.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grainger (San Antonio, TX) in Jul 2024
Interview
The interview process begins with a phone screening that lasts anywhere from 20-45 minutes. The screening is heavily focused on your experience and situational questions (i.e. "tell me about a time when...") where it is highly encouraged to use the "STAR" method. Following the phone screening you have a virtual interview with hirings managers.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Grainger (San Antonio, TX) in Jul 2023
Interview
Was recruited from ZipRecruiter, without sales experience, and then was rejected because I needed sales experience. First screening call with recruiter, then a prep call with recruiter, then a formal interview with the managers.

Question 1
Standard STAR behavioral questions to test. One "role play" sales scenario.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Grainger (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
There are three segments to the interview process and candidacy fulfillment. The first, the initial recruiter will contact you for an interview. This is a formal interview, however, mine felt really positive and casual. The rapport and two way conversation was definitely a positive. The second interview is done with a 2 panel hiring manager Team Meeting interview via video conferencing. This one is more intimidating and the panel is a roundabout. One will take lead and let you answer then the other one will follow up with a request to elaborate / give additional questions and/or probe you for something specific they are looking for. I found it to be very different from the normal interviewing I have done. But once i noticed a pattern, I realized what I needed to do to maximize my potential and shine during the interview. Remember to smile and be entusiastic. The final interview is with the District Manager via phone. It should take about 30 minutes and well this is the stage I am in. I'll update soon. Hopefully :)
