The recruiter did a 30 minute phone interview first. Mostly one-way and vetting to see if the workload was acceptable for the small amount of pay. Emphasis on teaching religion during classes. Second interview by Zoom and was easy conversation. Nice people but again VERY low pay with no upward mobility. They are just trying to fill slots. I think they said this department had 90 adjuncts!! Adjuncts get very low level treatment here and cannot develop their own curriculum. I was called within hours of the interview and offered to teach classes but NOT for the class I applied to (so strange!). They said I was qualified and approved for the upper-division class that I applied for but they decided to fill it internally (within 2 hours of the interview?). It felt disjointed and they seemed surprised I couldn't confirm my interest to teach an entirely different, lower level class, for half the amount I am currently paid by another University. It didn't feel like this position was very valued so I declined the offer.

Interview was easy but the recruiter seemed overworked and the pay was about $1,000 per online class. For reference I typically make between $4-$6,000 for a 3 credit class. This place is scam at the expense of instructors and has a weird cult-y vibe.
