Professional Manager with 30+ years of industry experience who went through the entire interview process at GSP and received personal phone call from Owner promising an offer for a management position in the next few days. (3) weeks later the owner instructs HR to send a standardized e-mail thanking me for my interest in the position, but I was no longer a candidate.
Owner had zero contact with me between verbal promise of the offer to come and the rejection letter. Owner in that time changed his mind and reneged on his verbal promise and lacked the professionalism to reach out and discuss, explain, or even communicate this decision directly with the me.
I was counting on this offer, just waiting to receive and accept it and this delayed and ultimately reneged offer has set my job search back weeks and now I need to start over again while I remain unemployed due to layoff.
