Hello and Thank you for the commentary. However, I must place a Rebuttal to this commentary. The role was not changed in the middle of the interview. Prior to a face to face interview, there are some very strict policies that must be considered. All Underwriters must take a written test and their score must be a minimum of a 90%, the score is reviewed with the candidate prior to the interview, that is the first step. When I make the initial phone call to a candidate that has submitted a resume, I exclusively call them and discuss the different positions with them. Either an Underwriter position or any other positions that we have, candidates usually ask what else do you have? I then tell them they must score a 90% on their test. Then I tell them of the other positions that are available with us. (At this time, I give a guesstimate of the score they should have on the test). We have one exclusive position that 'entails Underwriting, this is a Team Leader position, when the position AND the expectancy is described, I of course go to the rest of the positions, and I allow the candidate to make a decision at that time, please note, this is over the phone. After our discussion, I tell them where we are located, and if they are okay with the commute. If they say YES...please, I would likel an interview, I set up the meeting with them, I also tell them they will be interviewing with me and the President of the company. When I call them and tell the person applying for an Underwriter position, that I am sorry your score is BELOW 90%, the general comment is normally, well please tell me about the other positions. An Underwriter in Mortgage Banking is a VERY key position, sometimes people think they have the skill set, but they fall short of the mark. Number two is: People want a job, they want a face to face, I give that to them, during the interview with myself AND the President of the company the Job Responsibilities are clearly lined out during the interview. All of our current Team Leaders have undergone the same process. Their compensation is discussed in detail with them once they receive their Employment Agreement, IF they choose to accept Wonderful...IF they choose to decline, so beit. The decision is totally with the candidate. To say that, the position was changed during the interview, is not an accurate statement. This site allows people the opportunity to make comments. That is wonderful. But please tell the truth. Thank you to this site for allowing employers to rebuttal the comments If anyone reading this has further questions, or if the person that made the comment has questions, please call me or email me directly. You have my information. If not, then here it is: Diana Macias, Business Development Manager for Greenbox Loans, Inc. 213 235 4204 or diana.macias@greenloans.com. I welcome the emails or phone calls. Have a wonderful day.
