After the first initial interview I was selected to proceed onto phase two of the hiring process which came with creating an onboarding video to use as an example of how I would drive onboarding providers. I spent hours curating this powerpoint deck and submitted a 7 min screen recording, introducing myself and walking through the onboarding process. I was denied after the project was done, I'm assuming this was because I submitted 7 minutes instead of 3 minutes, but I wanted to ensure I also spent time introducing myself. After the hard work, the company decided to hire internally, which made me feel as if I never had a chance to begin with. They shouldn't have proceeded to hire externally if they knew filling the position would come from an internal resource.
