This was the most passive agressive interview I have ever been on! My interview with the IT department was one big set of microagressions rolled into one. It was a video panel interview with about 6-7 analysts (some managers, some not). I have several degrees, with multiple certifications and several years of experience. This was obviously appreciated prior to my interview because they contacted me for one. All of a sudden, upon seeing me, all of my accomplishments were suddenly called in to question. One of the hiring managers consistently inquired about the validity of one of my certifications (about 3 or 4 times), and even attempted to passive aggressively (out of nowhere) inquire if I even know how to work without causing conflict/drama!...This was this the most absurd question and insuuation I have ever faced in an interview! It was obvious that the manager had some biases and sterotypical hang-ups to even suggest such a thing. The departmentlacks diversity and consists of analysts with varying degrees of experience. A few even had no prior IT experience, less than a year worth of experience, and/or no certs upon hire; meanwhile, my credentials were constantly questioned. I hate to bring race into the discussion; but I have to in order to illustrate the that the standards for diversity hires are higher here. Just want to give people a heads up about the culture you'll potentially be getting yourself into.
