Interview
I was invited to an interview on 18th of April for a vacant position of In-house Photographer. I was asked to select from times on the following dates: 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of April.
I received the e-mail invitation on Tuesday 23rd, at around 8.50am. I replied immediately and told them I was available the following day, and selected 3 times that I was. I thought this odd that they had e-mailed me after the first day of interviews. I received no response. I checked indeed messages and my e-mail, it said that the e-mail was sent on the 23rd, however when I went to my sent emails, and looked at my reply to the original e-mail, I could see it was written on the 18th. So, I rang the company at 9am on the 24th. I was told by the lady who had originally emailed me the job interview invitation that it got "stuck in her outbox". She apologised for it, saying this is why I only received it on the 23rd. I asked her if I could still attend, she informed me no as all the slots were taken. I found this quite perplexing, as she admitted the error was on their end, and refused to accommodate and hold the interview the invited me to. So, unfortunately I was unable to go for an interview. I'm writing this here to log my experience with the company, due to this, I will not be applying for a role at the Handbag Clinic in the future if one should become available. After, I thought it odd that, if there was a set amount of slots, they would of invited a set amount of people. Yet, they said no slots were available. It appears there's something dishonest about this company.
