I received an email booking an Assessment day. They selected some people for it, I think we were 8 in total. There were several challenges including a coding challenge was in Java.
An online assessment day via a zoom call, from 10am-4pm (with breaks in between). There were a number of activities throughout the day in the form of group exercises as well as one-on-ones with the staff. It was a very welcoming and friendly experience overall and actually quite enjoyable.
I applied online. I interviewed at Heywood (Altrincham, England) in May 2019
Interview
I feel like the interview was well structured, being an assessment day from 10am to 4pm. I honestly think it was the best experience I had being interviewed for a company.
There were various activities that not only were testing our skills (they did not focus on the technical skills) but also they thought us about good practices they are using at work. Also, we were provided plenty of food for the lunch which was nice as well.
We had the chance to meet some of the staff and I can say that they made me feel comfortable during the day.
I received the feedback the next day, even though I did not get an offer, I really appreciate their commitement to inform us ASAP.
I did not state any of the activities as I felt it would make the experience less interesting for the future candidates but I was really amazed by the way they delivered the assessment day. (I also hope I do not raise your expectations too high).
We were 5 applicants (I think we were supposed to be 7-8 but the other persons did not come).

I prefer to not leave any information on this as they were not complicated questions that you should prepare for them excepting for 1-2 that appear at almost every interview.
