I applied for the Marketing associate position and within a day of applying, I got an email from someone (who later I found out was the CEO although they never introduced themselves) who said they have received my application but thought my skills were better suited in another department. Perplexed but interested, I went with the interview. I didn't answer her question about the company correctly and throughout the interview I felt she was speaking down to me, and it was a feeling I had with her demeanor and language used. She answered some of my questions very well but in some of the ways she answered my questions, specifically about work/life balance raised some flags for concern. I was scheduled for a second interview but after further reading Glassdoor interviews and reviews, as well as assessing my initial feelings, I have rejected the interview.
