I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hyfn
Interview
The overall experience was timely, efficient and also allowed great exposure with key stakeholders of the business as well as visibility and context from the day-to-day team members to make a well rounded decision.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I received thoughtful questions that were tailored to how my particular experience mapped to the role at hand. They were keen on finding a good culture fit; therefore, I received an equitable amount of questions surrounding my soft skills as much as the technical / hard skills. I felt all of the questions were relevant for the role and to genuinely get to know my capabilities to ensure a good fit for both parties.
Interviewer was so fun to talk to. Easy going and really nice. I had reached out when there were no positions available & he was really great about it. We discussed my work history, my way of doing things, and what my career goals are.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hyfn (Playa Vista, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Applied and the next day had a phone interview scheduled, then face to face interview 3 days later. The vibe was great, i felt the interview with the hr manager and the current office manager couldn’t of went any better. I was told by the hr manager they wanted someone to start Monday, mind you my interview was on a Friday. He did say they were willing to wait for the right candidate, which gave me a chance.
I sent a thank you follow up a few hours after the interview, no response which was expected. A week later still nothing so i sent another follow up, still nothing. A week after that i called the hr manager and was told that they were “working” somethings out and that i would hear from them if i had got the position or not. That was August 23rd , it’s been over a month since my in person interview and i get it it’s just business and probably shouldn’t take things personal but when people are literally taking the time out and in my case using vacation hours to come to interview the least the company could do is to just let you know you weren’t chosen.
I read the reviews about how this company just keeps people in the dark and ignore them after but they were so nice that i thought the past reviewers were being dramatic.
I still haven’t heard anything and I’m just going to assume that i didn’t get the offer.
