      Lead tooling design engineer Interview

      28 Aug 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Hyperloop One (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2020

      Interview

The interview was a five stage process, each by phone or video call. First stage was a 30 minute screening call with the technical recruiter, second was a 30 minute phone call with one of the engineers, third was a 30 minute call with a manager, fourth is a one hour presentation on a technical project via video conference to a group of five engineers/managers, and fifth is a one-on-one 30 minute video interview with each of the five participants in the presentation for a total of 2.5 hours. The entire process took 4.5 weeks.

      Question 1

For the one-on-one video interviews, some of them asked me to draw up assembly tooling based on a short prompt.
