      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at IGT (Reno, NV)

      Interview

I recently interviewed for a QA Engineer position at IGT, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The initial interview with the recruiter went amazing; she was very friendly and made me feel welcome. However, things took a turn for the worse when I attended the on-site interview. The office itself was quite disappointing – it felt old and crusty, like something out of a bad movie, and it had a noticeable bad and dusty smell. The on-site interview was conducted by three people simultaneously. I personally find this practice quite overwhelming and would prefer if companies moved away from it. Initially, the interview seemed promising as I shared about my experience and skills. However, it soon became apparent that the interviewers had not read my resume, as their questions were irrelevant and unprepared. To make matters worse, the interviewers were openly disrespectful. Throughout the interview, all three interviewers were smirking and almost laughing at my responses, exchanging glances in a way that made me feel extremely uncomfortable and judged. One interviewer, in particular, was especially rude. I understand that interviews are not meant to be pleasant experiences, but there's no need to be disrespectful. Overall, I was shocked by their unprofessional behavior. I strongly advise against considering any position at the Reno, NV office of IGT. The people there seem to be stuck in the '90s with their outdated mentality and lack of respect for candidates.
