I am very sorry to hear that an interviewee felt uncomfortable, as this is never my intention. As CFO and head of Human Resources, I conduct all interviews for non-technical positions. The reason I conduct casual interviews is because our everyday workplace is a very casual environment. Most employees dress in jeans and T-shirts on a day to day basis and I feel it would be a misrepresentation of IDS to conduct interviews in business attire. However, I will keep this in mind in the future and let candidates know that it will be a casual interview to avoid any uncomfortable encounters.
