I applied for a PHP SSE position through Naukri and received a call from HR on the same day. The HR screening was completed successfully, during which my current CTC and expected CTC were discussed. After that, the first technical interview was scheduled. The first round was primarily a technical interview, with a strong focus on cloud-based concepts. I was able to answer all the questions confidently and correctly, and there were no unfamiliar or unexpected topics. Overall, the technical discussion went very well. Towards the end of the interview, the interviewer again asked about my current and expected CTC. I mentioned that I had already shared these details during the HR screening, but the interviewer continued to ask about it. Eventually, I provided the same information again. After the interview, I did not receive any further communication from the HR team. I tried calling and emailing HR, but there was no response. Given that the technical interview went well, I believe the lack of follow-up may be related to salary expectations rather than technical performance. While companies have the right to budget constraints, transparent communication with candidates after interviews is important. Providing clear feedback or closure helps maintain professionalism and respect in the hiring process.
