Several emails back and forth discussing best time to interview. Agreed a date and time. I arrived early and was greeted quickly and offered a drink. Interview started with an overview of the company, the role and some of the technology and tools used. There were 2 interviewers. I was asked about my CV and past experience. I was asked about my knowledge of Laravel, the framework they use. The interview then moved on to technical questions. I was presented with 2 class files and asked to identify parts of the class files and how I would modify them. When asked if I had any questions, I asked how long it might be before I hear one way or another. At the time they said 1 week and everyone would be contacted. Finally I was asked to take an assignment home and complete it over the next few days. The task involved creating a series of increasingly more complex SQL queries in the language of my choice and NOT to focus on the ux/ui, just the technical component. The final query required joining at least 5 tables in order to perform the sorting and filtering required. After I submitted this assignment I heard nothing from them. No feedback, no response to any contact at all. The only reason I am posting this now is their posting of the same job online. I want others to understand what their process is going in.
