Interview
Attending an interview for Events Manager, Maternity cover, I would have hoped that this team would have been the experts in the Interview process, as their company name states.
The first interview was with the Events Manager and CEO, online. A pleasant experience, after which I was invited to a second interview with The Head of Marketing, and again the Events Manager.
When I joined the call, the HoM had her camera off. I pointed this out to her, to such she said, ah yes, her camera wasn't working.
On a zoom call, how do you maintain eye contact with someone that is asking you questions and you can't look back at them to respond? I actually didn't know where to look. It was very uncomfortable.
I thought these people were the specialists in this process?
What's more, I didn't even get a response, a week later I had to chase for an outcome from the Events Manager. It was a no, and that's fine, I didn't give me best performance during the second interview.
You couldn't make this up.
I wasn't going to leave feedback as I felt this would fall on deaf ears, however, after speaking with my tutor last night I felt it appropriate then to share my experience.

Fantastic, friendly, welcoming and informative. They were looking for the right personality, with the right experience as it is clear they are building a stable team for the future. Initial interview with founder, and then a second interview with MD and co-founder.
