After being approached about a role in APAC, I set up an initial interview with the HR partner - it was professional and at the end, we discussed the next steps and timelines. A few weeks passed and I had to follow up to verify if I was being progressed or if I was no longer being considered. The HR rep eventually came back with a pretty vague response about not progressing with the role they'd approached me for, but then wanting me to consider relocation to the US for an equivalent role. Despite asking for some more clarity on why the initial role was not considered suitable, I didn't get any useful feedback.
