I was contacted about the role and told onboarding paperwork would be emailed, but it never arrived because the company had misspelled my email address. After this was corrected, the paperwork required creating a business with the IRS and obtaining an EIN before doing any work. I completed this and was asked to provide extensive personal documentation (ID, insurance, proof of business, headshot).
The document submission process involved a Dropbox upload embedded in a 20-page form. Because the image uploads were returning errors, I could not submit the form at all. When I called to ask for an alternative way to submit the documents, I was told I “sounded irritated” and that they no longer wanted to proceed. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the person I spoke with was the manager, or that there was no manager. I then withdrew my application.
