A multi-stage assessment conducted over several days to evaluate officer-like qualities, leadership potential & behavioural suitability rather than academic knowledge.
Includes initial screening (intelligence tests & group tasks), followed by psychological assessments, GTO tasks & a structured personal interview.
Final recommendation is subject to detailed medical examination, police verification & merit list position. More candidates may clear SSB & medicals than available training academy vacancies; selection is not rolled over to subsequent batches.
