I interviewed at Indian Institute of Science (Bengaluru)
Interview
Interview was done by board of members from the department . Most of the questions are from basic understanding of subjects. Interview pannel was very polite and helping while struggling to answer.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Indian Institute of Science in Apr 2021
Interview
I got an interview by cold mailing the professor. The interview was more of a generic talk where he asked me to explain my B Tech project and a couple of follow up questions to gauge if you understand what exactly you are working with. Followed by him explaining his research focus and taking my inputs about his work. It finally ended with him asking my future plans and research interest. All in all it felt like a conversation over a cup of tea
Just keep it cool guys, read up on the interviewer to understand how to convince them that you are a good fit.
Pro tip: Smile a lot, everyone likes it xD
