I contacted the department chair to discuss research options. My information was sent to multiple faculty and I was contacted by five. Scheduled and gave a 1 hour seminar followed by multiple interviews with PIs and lab members. Was offered two positions and chose one. Very different personalities between labs but all interesting and thoughtful research.

I applied online. It takes several months to re-contact me again. The process is pretty straightforward. They gave me offer very soon after the presentation and group interview. The interview questions are not very hard. Such as, what is your strengths? What bring you here? Why are you interested in this position? Please introduce yourself? How to deal with team conflict? What is your career goal? What do you do after this temporary job?
